ABOUT BRAD
Over 10 years ago, I was producing interactive new media when a friend invited me to Prague for a three-week visit. I ended up staying for four months.
Armed with a small Ricoh point-and-shoot film camera, I wandered and explored until my legs begged for rest, finding out-of-the-way subjects at all times of day and night. When I got home, creative friends responded to the pictures and urged me to pursue photography as a career.
The pictures represented here start with that very first trip, all the way up to photographs taken recently with my Nikon digital camera that I also use professionally for portrait and architectural assignments.
I am always interested in finding something different and often do it by working the technology, both the camera and the computer. Each image suggests its own creative treatment. Sometimes there seems to be an obvious approach, and other times I’m quite surprised at the direction a picture takes.
And its been the same in life. I often think of the words from that Bob Dylan song: “I was born a long way from where I’m supposed to be, so I’m just on my way home.”
